Monsignor Walter Donohue is a senior member of the Catholic Church in New York and a longtime friend of NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan.
In Season 1, Monsignor Donohue was with Frank when he was shot in a drive-by committed in retaliation for the arrest of the head of the Westies organized crime family Whitey Brennan in the 1970s.
