Deputy Chief Travis Jackson was a longtime friend of Commissioner Frank Reagan who served as the Deputy Chief in charge of the NYPD Emergency Services Unit until he hit mandatory retirement at the age of 63 in 2017.
Feeling that he was still in good shape and able to do his job, Deputy Chief Jackson chose to fight his retirement and vowed to sue the State of New York, the City of New York, and the NYPD in order to be reinstated.
