Thomas "Tom" Wilder was a serial rapist and murderer who killed over twenty women and girls between the ages of 18 and 22.
He murdered his mother Shelby by dumping her body on a boat that he bought, under the name of Danny Reagan.
When Danny Reagan began investigating his kills, they became mortal enemies. Their final encounter ended with Wilder pushing Danny into shooting him even though he was actually unarmed.
