Detailed recap of the episode which contains MAJOR SPOILERS. |
At Sunday dinner, Danny believes that all diplomats in the city should be sent back to their home countries. Jamie agrees with his brother, believing that diplomatic immunity is being abused, from not paying parking tickets to not obeying the laws. Sydney disagrees, stating that while rape is heinous, she believes Danny has a “naïve view on things”. When Frank encourages her to express her views, she elaborates that while diplomatic immunity is imperfect, it also protects American diplomats in other countries as well. She concludes by telling Danny that the world is bigger than New York’s five boroughs. Danny responds that he spent his junior year abroad serving in Fallujah. Frank is informed that Argentina will not waive Sebastian Calso’s diplomatic immunity.
