"Mercy" is the first episode of the second season of Blue Bloods.
Synopsis
Soon after the new Mayor is elected one of his supporters, and one of Erin's friends' husband, is murdered in a seedy part of town. Danny and Jackie investigate and as things start to point towards extramarital activities, the new Mayor, Carter Poole, pressures Frank to spin the incident as a random act of violence to avoid a scandal.
Erin has to try to find a way to get the killer without actually charging him with the murder when her friend doesn't want her husband's activities known to the world.
Jamie and several other young officers are sent undercover to bars in an underage alcohol sting that turns into more.
