Lena Janko is the mother of Edit Marie Janko-Reagan and wife to Armin Janko.
She first appears in the Season 9 episode "By Hook Or By Crook" when she's having dinner with her daughter and Jamie.
Personality[]
Lena is first mentioned in "Bad Company", four seasons before her first actual appearance, when it is revealed that she immigrated from Serbia as a young woman and, after marriage and giving birth to Eddie, raised her to be fluent in Serbian. This makes Eddie the best candidate for an undercover assignment to infiltrate a human trafficking ring that preys on young female immigrants from Serbia who are tricked into believing they are checking into a hostel.
In her first appearance, Lena is revealed to have an unfiltered and sarcastic sense of humor. After Eddie introduces her to Jamie, she points out to Eddie that "He uses a girl's name and you use a boy's name." When Jamie replies that his full name is Jameson, "like the whiskey", she shoots back, "It's a good thing your parents didn't like to drink Smirnoff!"
