"Genetics" is the eleventh episode of the seventh season of Blue Bloods.

Synopsis

When Jamie and Eddie respond to a call they end up embroiled in a dispute between birth parents and adoptive parents. Feeling they should do more to help, Jamie approaches Erin to try to help the case avoid court. Her lack of knowledge in the area of family law is compounded when both parties want her help.

Meanwhile, Frank must decide on a course of action after learning that one of his Sergeants is helping cadets from military backgrounds cheat on their computerized psychiatric evaluations. Assessing the evaluation, he acknowledges the reasons for their actions and how it could be skewed against those candidates with military service.

Danny and Linda face their own military drama when Jack announces that he plans to join the Marines after graduation, a course of action Linda is against.
