Donald Kent was a Deputy Chief in the New York City Police Department before his promotion to Assistant Chief. His promotion to Assistant Chief was short lived since he was murdered shortly after. He and his wife, Maggie Kent were killed while walking to their vehicle. He was the Commanding Officer of the Detective Bureau Gang Division.
