Dennis Haysbert is an American actor best known for his appearances in the Allstate Insurance commercials. He's starred in Absolute Power, The Unit. He's also well known for portrating US Senator (later Presient) David Palmer in the first 5 seasons of 24. He made a guest appearance in the CBS crime drama television series Blue Bloods as NYPD Deputy Chief Donald Kent in the Season 5 episode, "New Rules".
