Candice McElroy is a Detective in the New York City Police Department. She was assigned to the 54th Precinct for a brief period of time. She was Detective Reagan's partner while serving in the Major Case Squad. She was later transferred to the Vice Enforcement Division.
Biography
An only child, Candice served in the 86th Airborne of the US Army, completing three tours in Afghanistan before returning to the US and joining the NYPD. As a detective, she transferred from 'riding a desk' at the Vice Enforcement Division to the Major Case Squad. She replaced Kate Lansing as Daniel Reagan's partner after Detective Lansing rejoined the Internal Affairs Bureau. Candice's time as Detective Reagan's partner was short and she was transferred back to the Vice Enforcement Division.[1]

Notes & Trivia
- She once admitted people call her Candy.
- While it is stated that she served in the '86th Airborne Division', the real 86th Division is a Training Division that had only been reactivated three years prior to her appearance in 2010, and last acted in a combat capacity in 1945 prior to its dissolution. It is likely the show was trying to refer to the 82nd Airborne Division, the US Army's primary Airborne Division which had various units deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan throughout both wars.
