Columbia Broadcasting System (most commonly referred to as CBS) is an American television and radio network, and is the home channel of the American police procedural crime drama Blue Bloods. CBS was first founded as a radio network, having its origins in the United Independent Broadcasters Inc., a collection of 16 radio stations that were purchased by the CBS founder, William S. Paley and renamed the Columbia Broadcasting System. Under Paley, CBS would grow to become one of the largest radio networks in the United States and even one of the three largest television networks in the United States.
CBS is home to many known and popular shows such as Big Brother, Survivor, The Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Criminal Minds, and many more.
