Alex Dawson is a psychologist that Danny Reagan is sent to for anger management.
Not much is known about Alex personally as he keeps most of himself out of sessions.
Professionally, he proves himself to be competent and a quick study when he accurately assesses Danny within minutes of their meeting. This earns Danny's respect, causing him later to seek Dawson's advice on a case involving one of the doctor's patients. This also allows Danny to seek him out when the case takes a turn for the worst.

- "For what it's worth, you don't need to wait 'till you're drowning to reach out for help."
